Jaipur, December 2006

RAA gave an invited lecture at the 2nd International Conference on Heterocyclic Chemistry held at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur from 16th to 19th December. As well as a conference tour to the Taj Mahal, the programme featured a 'Felicitation Ceremony' at which, amid tight security, two state Governors presented a trophy to each invited lecturer.

Presentation to RAA with (L-R) Dr N. K. Jain, Vice-Chancellor, University of Rajasthan, His Excellency Mr R. S. Gawai, Governor of Bihar and Her Excellency Mrs Pratibha Patil, Governor of Rajasthan and Chancellor of the University of Rajasthan.

Mrs Pratibha Patil was elected the President of India in July 2007.
