Facility Spectrometers
The solid-state NMR Facility is managed by Daniel Dawson. The facility comprises two spectrometers:
600 MHz Bruker Avance III solid-state spectrometer and 14.1 T triple-channel wide-bore magnet with extended variable temperature capability.
400 MHz Bruker Avance III solid-state spectrometer and 9.4 T four-channel wide-bore magnet with extended variable temperature capability.

Laboratory Facilities
The group has access to excellent facilities for synthesis and characterisation of solids within the department, including powder and single crystal XRD and microscopy.
We also have a small synthetic chemistry laboratory.
Computation
Calculations are performed on the University cluster, consisting of a 327-node Intel Westmore cluster connected by QDR Infiniband interconnect at the University of St Andrews.
The group also has a small cluster home-built from commodity hardware.
