Prof.Philip Lightfoot
I
was born in Doncaster, England and educated at Oxford University (BA
Chemistry, 1984; D. Phil 1987, under the supervision of Prof. A. K.
Cheetham FRS). After Post-doctoral work in both the UK and US, I was
appointed to a Faculty position at St Andrews in 1994. I was promoted to
Reader in 2000 and recently appointed (2009) to Professor.
