Lab and Facilities

The lab is situated on the fourth floor of the Purdie building and was refurbished in 2005. The lab is equipped with standard equipment for our research including schlenk lines for air-sensitive chemistry and autoclaves for high pressure hydrogenations and hydroformylation.

We also have a chiral HPLC funded by the EPSRC, with several columns kindly donated by Chirotech/DowPharma. Chirotech also funded the purchase of a Biotage microwave reactor as part of a CASE award.

The group also recieved an EU grant for a studentship, which funded the purchase of gas uptake monitoring equipment for use with an autoclave for checking the progress of hydrogenations and hydroformylations.
